The Colon theatre

The colon theatre was built on the ground of coliseum Ramirez.

Firts called Maldonado theater, where the firts european theater companies, opera and zarzuela were received.

The Colon theater is the scheme used in a room with a horses hoe-shaped auditorium,three tiers of boxes an a general single stage or "coop".

The Colon theatre is a national monument and is postioned as a site of cultural interest.

Monserrate

Monserrate is the center of pilmigrage most important and traditional of the city ande of the country.

It is located at 3152 meters above sea level.

The current building was opened in 1920 and undergone several renovations.

The current configuration of the temple is of minor basilica and it is main altar lies the fallen lord of Monserrate, elaborate carving of the seventennth century by Pedro De Lugo Albarracín.

Monserrate's name because it was the first chapel dedicated to Our Lady of Monserrate cruz.

La Candelaria

La candelaria is the most important historic center in the city.

Has old houses of colonial architecture, many stories are told about this place.

• It is said that in one of these houses, now white as lime, Simón Bolivar escaped of the death one night in september for a window that is still famous and 13 th street.
• In a house remains intact, José Asunción Silva, the great poet, was shot in the heart, where today in an active House Poetry Stuck.
