Palace of Justice siege

Was an attack on the 1985 Supreme Court of Colombia, in which members of the M-19 guerrilla group took over the Palace of Justice in Bogota and had members of the Supreme Court hostage, intending to hold a trial against President Belisario Betancur. Hours later, after a military raid, the incident left nearly half of the judges of the Supreme Court of 25 dead

The M-19 guerrillas burned different criminal record containing the evidence and guarantees against many members of the group. It is also believed, but argued if the records also burned with Pablo Escobar, one of the biggest drug dealers in the country at the time

In total, more than 6,000 different documents were burned. The fire lasted about two days, even with the efforts of firefighters trying to douse the flames. One theory investigated the "disappearance" of missing entities is the site that were charred in the fire and could not be identified in any way, without being found, these entities are considered missing in action.
